Love Island<\/a> winner Davide Sanclimenti<\/a> was reportedly seen dishing out laughing gas balloons at an after-party in Manchester<\/a> over the Easter weekend.<\/p>\n

The 29-year-old, who won the ITV show<\/a> with ex Ekin-Su\u00a0C\u00fclc\u00fclo\u011flu<\/a> in 2022, appeared to be using an air canister to fill up balloons at the gathering in a video captured by The Sun<\/a>.<\/p>\n

A party-goer at the bash after the Solaris of the Sun event at Firefly club told the publication it contained nitrous oxide, which has recently been reclassified as a Class C drug <\/a>by the UK government. <\/p>\n

There was \u2018no suggestion\u2019 Davide consumed the gas himself at the party during the early hours of Saturday morning, the outlet added.<\/p>\n

Davide\u2019s spokesperson declined to comment when approached by The Sun. Metro.co.uk<\/strong> has also reached out to his representatives.<\/p>\n

In November, laughing gas, also called ballons Nos, whippets, and medically known as nitrous oxide, was made illegal in the UK.<\/p>\n

Now dealers can face up to 14 years in jail for handing out the gas<\/a>, while having nitrous oxide with the intention to inhale it wrongfully is also an offence.<\/p>\n

Unlimited fines, visible community service, a caution that would appear on their criminal record, and jail time are among the punishments for the latter.<\/p>\n

Nitrous oxide is responsible for few overdose or misuse drug deaths each year compared to others \u2013\u00a0between 2001 and 2020<\/a>\u00a0there were 56 deaths involving the gas in England and Wales.<\/p>\n

It is the third most used drug among 16 to 24-year-olds in England,\u00a0though its usage has been declining<\/a>. According to the\u00a0Global Drug Survey<\/a>, it was the 14th most popular drug in the world in 2021.<\/p>\n

Earlier this year, Davide split from Ekin-Su for a second time after 18 months together. They both confirmed the break-up in separate Instagram statements.<\/p>\n

In his, Davide said he wanted to \u2018focus on myself\u2019 now.<\/p>\n

\u2018Life sometimes reserves surprises and suddenly wakes you up\u2026\u2019, he began cryptically.<\/p>\n

Davide continued with a reference to his ex-girlfriend\u2019s stint in The Traitors US: \u2018Ekin and I, just after the ski holidays, decided to go different ways. It was a joint decision, but I was waiting to make it public to respect her time in the show.<\/p>\n

\u2018I don\u2019t know why she agreed the statement changed last minute.<\/p>\n

\u2018I agree, it was a beautiful story even with its ups and downs like all couples. I loved every moment, from the first time I knew her in the Villa until the life outside.\u2019<\/p>\n

Davide added that he \u2018really believed\u2019 in their relationship and \u2018saw a future for us\u2019 but, sometimes, \u2018people need to grow apart.\u2019<\/p>\n

He proceeded to assure he would \u2018treasure our moments forever\u2019 and signed off by thanking his fans for their love and support.<\/p>\n

Since Love Island, Davide has appeared in an ITV series with ex Ekin-Su \u2013\u00a0Ekin-Su and Davide: Homecomings<\/a>\u00a0\u2013 where they introduced their home towns in Turkey and Italy to each other.<\/p>\n
