Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu may have come under fire for her actions on Celebrity Big Brother however her career isn’t likely to be negatively affected in the long run.

The former Love Island winner, 29, was evicted from the house last week, which came after she was slammed by many for her comments dished out on the reality series.

During her time back in front of the cameras, Ekin-Su incensed many by taking aim at women who make money on OnlyFans, snapped at mentions of Love Island, took aim at her fellow housemates and was even accused of flirting with Strictly’s Nikita Kuzmin despite knowing he is in a relationship.

However now a PR expert has said all is not lost for the reality star and actress.

‘I don’t think she’s necessarily harmed her career,’ Candid celebrity management and PR agency founder Dermot McNamara told Metro.co.uk.

‘Her own fans love her and still will love her. The people who disliked her were often people who weren’t fans of her to begin with.

‘There’s also a highly profitable career in being a polarising figure, being “the villain”. It still brings attention, good, bad or indifferent.’

He added that with the ‘constant churning of reality TV’, people tended to lose interest quickly and move on to the next show and so predicted Ekin-Su would still get offers in both the UK and internationally, like in the United States where she recently appeared on their version of The Traitors.

However, he did suggest the star take some time off as participating in reality TV was ‘physically and emotionally exhausting’.

‘Especially when you’re being cast as the “reality star”, you’re expected to play up to a certain image. You’re booked to entertain,’ he shared.

‘Ekin should go on holiday for a while to decompress and then go back to business as usual.

‘Once the show ends, people will lose interest in what happened and move on to the next show – as that’s the nature with reality TV.’

Despite the backlash, Dermot said appearing on screens again could only be a positive thing for Ekin-Su, who was last seen on British screens last year on Dancing on Ice, as well as guest appearances on The Wheel, Celebrity Antiques Road Trip and The Weakest Link.

‘On the face of it, being offered a huge amount of money to go into Celebrity Big Brother is a godsend for a lot of celebrities. It gives them the opportunity to earn quick cash and get their name back out there,’ he explained.

Following her eviction on Friday night, Ekin-Su said on Big Brother Late and Live that audiences hadn’t ‘seen everything’ and said producers had ‘cut stuff out’ despite not having watched any of the episodes back yet.

‘I’m just hurt that I wasn’t portrayed as myself on the show,’ she said.

However, viewers were quick to call her out, with one writing: ‘Now I know there is such a thing as editing on the fly, but to accuse the show of editing LIVE footage instantly is hilarious and would require time travel abilities.’

On Monday Ekin-Su was due to make an appearance on Lorraine to discuss her time on the show, however pulled out at the last minute.

Speaking on Good Morning Britain, Lorraine Kelly shared: ‘I thought [she would be here] but alas, no.’

‘I don’t know what’s happened, I don’t know. We’re trying to find out.’

Celebrity Big Brother continues tonight at 9pm on ITV1.
